During this consultation, your medical history and aesthetic goals will be discussed.

Together you will decide which areas of the body should be treated.

Individual treatment plan

Based on the examination and your goals, an individual treatment plan will be drawn up.
The surgeon will inform you about the different liposuction techniques, such as tumescent liposuction, ultrasound-assisted liposuction (UAL) or vibration-assisted liposuction (VAL).
He will also discuss the extent of the procedure, as 360-degree liposuction involves several areas of the body.

Preparation for the operation & information

Some preparations are necessary before the procedure.
These include a blood test to ensure that you are in good health.
The surgeon will give you instructions on how to behave in the days leading up to the operation, including dietary guidelines, taking or stopping certain medications and abstaining from alcohol and nicotine.
It is also advisable to prepare yourself mentally for the recovery period and organize support for the first few days after the operation.

The day of the operation

On the day of the operation, you will come to the clinic fasting.
After discussing the procedure again and marking the areas to be treated, anesthesia will be induced.
360-degree liposuction is usually performed under general anesthesia, as the procedure is extensive and affects several areas of the body.

Performing 360-degree liposuction

The surgeon begins the procedure by making small incisions in the skin, usually in inconspicuous areas that can be easily concealed later.
These incisions are usually only a few millimetres long.

• Injection of tumescent solution: In tumescent liposuction, the most common method, a special solution containing saline, a local anesthetic and adrenaline is injected into the fatty tissue.
  This solution anaesthetizes the area, reduces bleeding and facilitates the removal of the fatty tissue.
• Liposuction: After injecting the solution, a thin cannula is inserted through the incisions into the fatty tissue.
  The surgeon moves the cannula back and forth to loosen the fatty tissue.
  The dissolved fat is then suctioned out using a special vacuum device.
  The surgeon works carefully to ensure even fat removal in all treated areas and to avoid uneven contours.
• Treatment of multiple areas: With 360-degree liposuction, this process is performed on several areas of the body, including the front and side abdominal area, the lower back, the flanks and often the thighs and buttocks.
  The aim is to create a harmonious, even silhouette that is aesthetically pleasing from all sides.

After the operation

After the operation, the treated areas are wrapped with special compression bandages or garments to minimize swelling and support the healing process.
You will be monitored in the clinic for a few hours after the procedure until you have recovered well.
As this is a comprehensive procedure, you may have to stay in the clinic overnight for observation.

Compression garments: Wearing compression garments is crucial to the healing process.
This garment helps reduce swelling, helps the skin adapt to the new body contours and minimizes the risk of bruising and uneven results.
The compression garment should be worn around the clock for several weeks, except when showering.

Aftercare and healing process

Aftercare is crucial to the success of 360 degree liposuction.
The surgeon will schedule regular follow-up appointments to monitor the healing process and ensure that no complications arise.

• Care of surgical wounds: It is important to keep the incisions clean and dry to avoid infection.
  Your doctor will give you detailed instructions on wound care.
• Physical rest: In the first few days after the operation, you should take it easy physically and avoid strenuous activities.
  However, light walks are beneficial for blood circulation and the healing process.
• Gradual return to normality: You can usually resume lighter everyday activities after about a week.
  However, more strenuous physical activities and sport should only be resumed after about four to six weeks, depending on your doctor’s instructions.

Recovery and long-term results

Full recovery after 360-degree liposuction can take several weeks.
During this time, the swelling will gradually subside and the results of liposuction will become increasingly visible.
The final results can usually be seen after three to six months, when healing is complete and the skin has adapted to the new contours.
